Description

When combined with specific software sequences, AMD CPUs may transiently execute non-canonical loads and store using only the lower 48 address bits potentially resulting in data leakage.

The SLAM Attack is a new Spectre-based vulnerability that impacts most of the future CPU's for Intel, AMD, and ARM. In the current scenario, this vulnerability does not affect RHEL kernel.
