kernel: Null pointer dereference in search_keyring

Description

The KEYS subsystem in the Linux kernel before 3.18 allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and system crash) via vectors involving a NULL value for a certain match field, related to the keyring_search_iterator function in keyring.c.

Red Hat statement

This issue does not affect the Linux kernel packages as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 as the code which can trigger the flaw is not present in the products listed. This issue affects the Linux kernel packages as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, 7 and MRG-2. Future Linux kernel updates for the respective releases might address this issue.
